Permanent exhibition commentary guide
The National Hansen's Disease Museum offers "Spot Exhibition Commentary" by curators in its permanent exhibition rooms. Exhibition Room 2 displays the harsh living conditions in sanatoriums where residents were forced to live under the former isolation policy. Exhibition Room 3 displays the activities of residents who have regained their dignity despite the trauma they suffered. Curators will provide easy-to-understand explanations.
The National Hansen's Disease Museum will be closed for renovations starting December 1, 2026. There is only a short time left to see this permanent exhibition. Please come and visit us!
