At the The National Hansen's Disease Museum, you are using the facilities of this museum for events such as lectures, study sessions, and exhibitions. You can use it free of charge if you want to raise awareness of the Issues related to leprosy.

    Video hall

    Main use:
    Suitable for holding lectures, symposiums, concerts, etc.
    Number of seats:
    Fixed seats 138 seats (up to 170 movable seats can be added)
    Frontage 11.7m, height 3m, depth 3m
    Usage period limit:
    Up to 5 consecutive days (including preparation and tidying up)
    Number limit:
    25 or more and 170 or less (expected number is acceptable)

  • Permanent Exhibition Catalog

    Training room

    Main use:
    It is suitable for holding small study sessions and workshops.
    Number of seats:
    Up to 25 seats possible with a folding desk and folding chair
    Usage period limit:
    Up to 5 consecutive days (including preparation and tidying up)
    Number limit:
    5 or more and 25 or less

  • Permanent Exhibition Catalog


    Main use:
    Suitable for holding small exhibitions.
    Frontage 6.5m, height 2.8m, depth 6.5m, 2 walls
    Usage period limit:
    Up to 3 consecutive weeks (including preparation and tidying up)
    Number limit:
    Usage restrictions:
    Please refrain from loud events.

Available days and times

Priority is given to the work of The National Hansen's Disease Museum. It will be rented only if it is vacant. (Even if there are no plans for the museum's business, the schedule may be changed due to unavoidable circumstances.)

The facility can be used from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on the days the museum is open. Please complete preparations, tidying up, cleaning, etc. during the usage time.

How to apply

Please check the availability of facilities by phone, fill out the facility usage application form (word), and apply. (You can download it from here) Personal information you fill in will not be used for any purpose other than this purpose. For details, please refer to "Handling of Personal Information". Please submit your application to the reception desk of The National Hansen's Disease Museum, or apply by mail, fax, or email.

Application flow


Please fill out the prescribed usage application form and bring it to the reception desk or apply by mail, fax, or email. If the dates and times overlap, it will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please inquire at the reception or call us for the availability of facilities.


If you can use it after seeing the contents of the application form, we will send you a "facility use permit".


About pre-meeting:
Please be sure to have a meeting with this museum at least one week before use. Meetings are by appointment only, so please contact us in advance before visiting. The same applies to previews. For safety reasons, we may refuse to use the service if we do not have a meeting in advance.
