Workshop related to the special exhibition "Design of Life" <Let's make a "tin prosthesis"> Information for holding

The National Hansen's Disease Museum In connection with the exhibition "Self-help Devices, Artificial Limbs, Prosthetic Devices and Their Users in Designing Lives Leprosy sanatorium" (March 12 (Sat.) to August 31 (Wed.), 2022), a workshop "Let's Make Tinplate Artificial Legs" will be held at the "Designing Lives" exhibition (March 12 (Sat.) to August 31 (Wed.), 2022).
Tinplate prosthetic legs were once invented, produced and used by patients. Zensei Hospital By referring to drawings of tinplate prostheses created by patients at (now Tama Zenshoen) and actually making them with familiar materials, participants will deepen their understanding of the ingenuity that went into the tools.
