Gallery Exhibition Related Lecture: "Toward Proof of Existence - Hiroko Kato's Activities and Works"
*Event has ended
We will be holding a related lecture, "Toward Proof of Existence - The Activities and Works of Hiroko Kato," to coincide with the gallery exhibition "The World of Hiroko Kato's Works as Seen Through Paintings and Knitting" (Exhibition Period: Saturday, May 2, 2026 - Sunday, June 7, 2026), which traces the activities of Hiroko Kato, who passed away on December 2, 2025.
This workshop will explore, from a gender perspective on "manufacturing," why Ms. Kato, who experienced entering an institution at age 12, marriage, social reintegration, and re-entry, has continued her expressive activities throughout her life. We encourage you to participate.
