Born in 1939 (Showa 14) in Aichi Prefecture

When he was in the sixth grade of elementary school, he was diagnosed with Hansen's Disease and entered the National Suruga Sanatorium

Due to his worsening illness, he was sent to Suruga Sanatorium and then entered Tama Zenshoen in 1965 (Showa 40).

In the 1960s, he worked for All-Japan National Leprosaria Patients' Association

His hobbies include baseball and other sports from his childhood, and he continues to play tennis to this day. He spends his days busy visiting and caring for the elderly residents.

State of holding

The National Hansen's Disease Museum holds occasional lectures inviting residents and residents of Tama Zenshoen We hope that you will deepen your understanding of the Issues related to leprosy by listening to the stories of the parties concerned. Thank you for visiting our booth.
