Impressive movement presented by director Naomi Kawase. The small dorayaki restaurant in the town run by Sentaro becomes a prosperous restaurant due to the bean paste made by the old woman Tokue. However, Tokue had a past suffering from Hansen's Disease A work that depicts the fate of Chitaro and Tokue, who are at the mercy of the heartless rumors of those around them.

映画「あん」上映会 開催報告

5月6日（月・振替休日臨時開館）映画「あん」上映会を開催しました。
ゴールデンウィーク最終日となりました、当館では13時から映画「あん」上映会を開催しました。多くのお客様においでいただき、大入り満員となりました為、映像ホール（第1会場）と臨時で研修室（第2会場）の2会場より上映を行いました。ありがとうございました。それでも収容人数の関係上、ご入場をお断りしなくてはならないお客様も出てきてしまい、大変に申し訳ありませんでした。
お客様からいただきましたご意見やご感想を紹介させていただきます。

• I'm glad that I deepened my understanding by watching the movie screening after observing the exhibition. After the screening, there was a commentary by the curator, which deepened my understanding.
• It was a great movie. The paintings of Kinyokai on the 2nd floor were also fascinating. I'm really thankful to you.
• The movie screening was very good. I thought that "I don't know" was a sin. I felt that it was a sad history that should be passed down to the next generation. I'm glad I was able to bother you with my junior high school son.
• You showed me a very good movie. I was deeply moved. I was happy to meet Mr. Kizuki and Mr. Ichihara. I would like to participate in the next event as well.
• I was very happy because it was the movie I wanted to watch because it was Kirin Kiki's last starring work. Hansen's Disease my daily life, I didn't know the actual situation. The permanent exhibition was shocking to me. All human beings are equal. Hansen's Disease and can't help but think that they just didn't know how to treat it for a long time.
• This is my 4th time to see "An" today. I also bought the original book. Now, I think that I will not look at the tragic history of Hansen's Disease When I was a student, Leprosy Prevention Law as a matter of course and learned without any doubt. I'm embarrassed at the time when I didn't think the Leprosy Prevention Law I Leprosy Prevention Law has been abolished now. I would like to continue learning about human rights in my own way and reconsidering it.
• I had read the story in advance at the library, but through the medium of video, I was able to understand the situation Leprosy recovered persons I was very impressed with the line scene that I found "the meaning of life" while spending most of my life in the face of discrimination and incomprehension in the world. I felt that I wanted to live in a gentle way, as if I could live without any obstacles, be surrounded by friends, and be close to someone while grabbing my own happiness.
