ハンセン病問題を伝える ～メディアの責任・ラジオの可能性～ 開催報告

職業シリーズの第5弾は、TBSラジオの記者としてハンセン病問題の取材を続けてきた崎山敏也さんを講師にお招きしました。崎山さんは、ご自身が取材した音源をはじめとしたTBSラジオが所蔵するハンセン病問題を取り上げた番組の貴重な音源を紹介してくださいました。そして、ご自身のお仕事を省みながら、戦後におけるメディアによるハンセン病問題の取り上げ方の歴史と問題点を分かりやすく整理してくださいました。最後に、「記者でなくても、身の回りの人に記憶を伝えることは誰でもできる」という大切なご指摘をしていただきました。

• It was very interesting! I felt the depth of Mr. Sakiyama as a person. Hansen's Disease addition to understanding the history of leprosy, what the media should be and what should be done as an individual? It was an opportunity to think about society in general.

The question and answer session was also interesting, and I remembered Sakiyama's sincere appearance as a reporter. We wish you all the best in the future.
